FAQ

What is IPTV?
IPTV simply means Internet Protocol TV. - TV that is broadcast over the internet

How does it work?
Rather than connecting your TV to the little round connection in the wall to an aerial on your roof or satellite dish, you plug the Set Top Box into your broadband router and away you go. Because the TV is sent via secure servers, you can have 1,000s of channels.

Is it easy to install?
Given that you do not need aerials or satellite dishes – yes. It takes less than 5 minutes to set up
1. Put the batteries into the remote control
2. Put the power cable into the Set Top Box
3. Plug the Ethernet cable into your broadband router
4. Plug the other end of the cable into Set Top Box
5. Plug red, yellow and white cables into the back of your Set Top Box and the other end into your TVs Scart socket.
6. Switch on you TV and select the AV option on the screen
7. Press the on button on the Top Box
8. That’s it

Do I have to register?
Yes. This is very simple to do. To activate your account:
1. Go online with your computer
2. Fill in your details
3. A confirmation email with your unique user name and password will be sent to you
4. Turn on your TV and Set Top Box
5. Wait for a couple of minutes
6. Login page appears on your TV
7. Using the remote control that came with the package fill in the username box and the password box.
8. It’s ready to go.

Can I move the Set Top Box from one room to another or even to another location?
Yes you can. The beauty of IPTV is that it needed a broadband connection and that is all.
No additional dishes or aerials.

Can I still use the internet, email and web applications while I watch TV?
Yes. You can surf, facebook, instant message and email at the same time you have the TV on

Do I need a special ISP or special broadband service?
No. As long as you have a 2Mb ADSL broadband connection you can view IPTV.

Is it difficult to surf the TV channels?
No. It is as simple as the remote control you use with your TV with power on, mute, channel up/down, back button, navigation keys, volume, colour coded keys for specific functions, menu button, play back TV controls and go to button.
